Amelia (Amy) Murphy

This website is dedicated to the loving memory of Amelia (Amy) Murphy. Amy loved CFO. She found out about it from her friend Ruth Varney. She didn’t know anyone at CFO and went her first camp at Winni cold – that was over 25 years ago. She then started attending Acadia CFO (now Coastal Maine CFO). She was on the council ring at at both Acadia and Winni during the time she attended camps. She helped design and to print the brochures for Acadia and her daughter Nancy helped with the website. She was the treasurer for Acadia and helped with the accounting for the camp. She led the creative writing groups at I believe both Acadia and Winni. She loved the readings of Glenn Clark and believed deeply in the power and helpfulness of prayer. At the age of 15 a dream about her mother after she died put her on a life long spiritual quest. In the dream her mother showed her a beautiful light filled alive place where her mother was going to be. The place was vibrant and real to Mom. She had a touch of heaven brought to her and she brought it to us in her love of CFO.
